探索與利用之間的平衡：雙元或中斷均衡模式

Balance between Exploration and Exploitation: Ambidexterity or Punctuated Equilibrium


Abstract

　本文以Gupta et al. (2006)所提出的兩種平衡探索與利用的機制為基礎，探討雙元與中斷均衡模式對企業績效的影響， 以及其可能的適用環境， 研究結果除可為Gupta et al. (2006)的概念性觀念提出實證之外， 亦可為長久以來平衡探索與利用之矛盾(March, 1991)， 找到部分解答。主要的發現是：(1) 採行雙元模式較有利於兩年內的短期績效； (2) 若以三年之長期績效而言，兩種模式並無顯著不同；(3)環境的動盪及競爭程度對轉型策略與長期績效間的關係並無影響；(4)雙元和中斷均衡模式在內部能 力、組織結構和文化上是有所不同的。
