The purpose of this study is to explore the change effect as a result of arousing students’ voices in senior high schools. Students’ voices are highlighted in the process of educational leadership, claiming that leaders should listen to students’ voices and enhance the cooperation between teachers and students, and therefore promoting students to become leaders and powerful agents of transformation. Furthermore, leaders’ actions of encouraging students to express their opinions would provoke the power of school changes, and then expand the conditioning effect by transformational practices of promoting effective students’ voices to influence school changes. This is a one-year study. The subjects are leaders and students in Taiwan’s senior high schools. Educational leaders include principals and teachers, and students are those who express their opinions to leaders. This study uses mixed methods, adopting both quantitative and qualitative research methods. For the quantitative research, this study uses purposive sampling to enroll 540 students from 12 senior high schools (including of prestigious schools and community schools) for questionnaire survey, in order to explore the students’ opinions about the educational leadership motivating students’ voices. After that, one-to-one interviews with 12 principals and 36 teachers among the 12 schools are applied to collect data. And then grounded theory is used to explore how educational leadership could interpret students’ opinions as well as stimulate students’ voices to put school changes into effect.
