University Social Responsibility (USR), School Development Strategy, Talent development and local connections
大學社會責任(University Social Responsibility, USR)以擴展服 務社會以及解決地方問題為基礎,並且落實人才培育及地方連結 ,加以牽動學校組織內部生態,因此學校特色整合大學社會責任為 大學校務發展策略方向。本研究採Rogers由上而下的策略方法進行 個案學校探討,從分散式領導探討學校行政與教學領導者在執行大 學社會責任的出發點以及核心目標及人才培育的看法與觀點,將是 個案學校未來發展主軸方向。其次瞭解教師教學策略與理念,並且 聚焦於個案學校三個學院特色,探討三個學院教師在落實USR課程的 教學模式,從中瞭解系所學院特色發展,將大學社會責任的精神運 用適當教學模式進行人才培育,探討培育之人才素養目標以及學習 成效的評估方式;並且再以學習者的角度,瞭解學生參與USR課程與 活動的感受與學習態度。以呼應USR是透過師生的教學創新與社會實 踐,形成一個由下而上,以公民參與為基礎來接應社會、經濟與環 境的真實問題,並且解決問題與創造價值的過程培養新時代的人才 。本研究採運用質性深度訪談、量化問卷調查蒐集個案科大資料 ,以混合研究資料蒐集與分析,彙整個案在USR人才培育做法,除了 回饋實務現場落實改善,能更清楚描繪出個案大學在善盡大學社會 責任整體架構。其研究結果發現,個案科大在執行USR以及USR延伸 性課程的推動,所強調的皆是跨域整合特色亮點,且推動USR行政單 位需清楚明確計畫目標著手,而教學單位塑造跨域共學氛圍,執行 團隊教師們也感受到組織支持、重視溝通以及專業分工合作。其效 益除培育學生具問題解決與實作能力,更強化辦學特色以提升社會 形象,正向提升學生學習動機、公民態度、關懷精神,以及具就業 準備力,值得一提的是,USR延伸性課程設計需連結同學們的責任與 貢獻價值,才能觸動同學們持續參與意願,建議未來研究可採跨時 點的瞭解學習者成效的改變,甚至透過校務回饋修正調整後,再來 探討學習成效的成長,更有助於USR延伸性課程之推動成效。
University social responsibility (USR) is a way to expand and serve society, identify and solve local problems, and to cultivate talent and local connection. USR positively affects a university’s internal ecology. Therefore, this study focuses on the integration of the university\'s vision of social responsibility with the highlights of the school affairs development strategy. This study adopts Rogers\'s top-down strategic approach to case school discussions. It explores the implementation of university social responsibility with its core goals of local connections and talent cultivation. This study explore the future development of the case school, as well as the views of important executive and administrative team leaders. This study examines teaching strategies and concepts and the characteristics of the three colleges of the case school. It also explores the implementation and characteristics of the USR curriculum. Teachers applying the spirit of university social responsibility to the cultivation of talent with appropriate teaching modes, exploring the goals of cultivating talent and evaluating methods of learning effectiveness; and from the learner\'s perspective, learning about students\' feelings and learning attitudes in participating in USR courses and activities. This study confirms the USR through teaching innovation and social practice of teachers and students to form a bottom-up, civic participation-based action network to respond to real social, economic, and environmental problems and solve problems. The process of creating value cultivates talent in the new era. This study collected case data using qualitative in-depth interviews, quantitative questionnaires based on the collection and analysis of mixed research data. The practice of bringing together the entire case in USR\'s talent cultivation, in addition to feedback on the actual implementation of the improvement, can clearly depict the structure of a university\'s social responsibility. Its findings offer references for other units such as the Ministry of Education and colleges and universities that promote the USR program. The results of its research found that the promotion of USR and USR extended courses by the case University of Science and Technology emphasized the highlights of cross-domain integration. The administrative unit that promotes USR needs to be clear about the project goals, and the teaching unit creates a cross-domain co-learning atmosphere, and the teachers of the executive team also feel the organizational support, emphasis on communication, and professional division of labor. Benefits In addition to cultivating students with problem-solving and practical skills, it also strengthens school-running characteristics to enhance social image, and positively enhances students\' learning motivation, civic attitude, caring spirit, and job readiness. It is worth mentioning that the USR extended curriculum design needs to connect students’ responsibilities and contribution values in order to motivate students’ willingness to continue to participate. It is recommended that future research can be adopted to understand the changes in learners’ effectiveness across time, and even through school administration feedback. After the adjustment, we will discuss the growth of learning effectiveness, which will help promote the effectiveness of USR extended courses.
