This study aims to select nature-based tourism as example and to explore how aesthetic perception of natural scenery and wildlife tourism experiences impact on tourists’ restorative experiences individually. Furthermore, past studies indicated that environmental learning and crowding perception are critical factors which can influence tourist psychological and behavioral process. Hence this study further discusses the moderating roles of environmental learning and crowding perception in this research model. The results of this study showed that aesthetic perception and wildlife tourism experiences significantly and positively impact on tourists’ restorative experiences. Environmental learning significantly strengthen the relationships between aesthetic perception and restorative experiences. However, crowding perception will significantly weaken the relationships between wildlife tourism experiences and restorative experiences. The findings expanded the current knowledge in tourism context, and provide marketing implications and suggestions for tourism managers and future research.
