隨著網際網路普及和閱讀環境的數位化浪潮下,具備良好線上閱讀理解能力成為學生未來進入職場後,透過「線上閱讀環境」持續終身學習並滿足競爭環境所需之關鍵因素。根據台灣網路資訊中心(2015)調查顯示,我國 12 至 14 歲青少年行動上網比例已高達 7 成以上,18 至 30 歲民眾上網率更高達 100%。該現象也彰顯學生線上閱讀理解能力之重要。在現今之國際閱讀評比之研究也漸漸採線上閱讀理解測驗,取代傳統紙本測驗,更加凸顯線上閱讀理解之重要性。 本研究嘗試由跨層次模式分析(Hierarchical Linear Models, HLM)探討「個人因素」與「學校因素」對於國中階段青少年線上閱讀理解能力之影響。在透過 HLM 分析方法運用下,除了區隔這些分屬於不同脈絡情境之解釋變數,本研究可以進一步分析學生個體層級因素與學校總體層級因素對於線上閱讀理解能力之相對影響性,並且從中探討個人或學校哪些重要因素會影響該能力表現。同時,本研究也透過 HLM 分析法探討不同層級解釋變數對於學生線上閱讀理解能力是否產生交互作用效應。預期本研究能在瞭解影響青少年線上閱讀理解之重要因素,以及現階段學校應有作為,提供教育決策者推動線上閱讀之相關政策方向,進而協助提升下一代之競爭力。
With the prevalence of internet and the digitalization of reading environment, being equipped with online reading ability plays a key role in whether students can pursue lifelong learning and gain competitiveness through online reading after entering workforce. A survey from Taiwan Network Information Center (2015) suggests that more than 70% of teenagers aged among 12 to 14 surf Internet with mobile devices, and the percentage for the age cohort of 18 to 30 reaches 100%. Such phenomenon raises concerns over whether school curriculum should include online reading ability. However, without sufficient empirical studies, there is no way to learn that how influential schools can be on improving students’ online reading ability for the time being. This research, through Hierarchical Linear Model (HLM), seeks to discuss how individual factors and school factors can affect junior high school students’ online reading ability. Through the analysis of HLM, in addition to differentiating variables that belongs to different scenarios, this research can further analyze individual and school differences which may affect ability performance. Meanwhile, this research also discusses if there is interaction between different levels of analyses through the model. It is anticipated that this research can provide the education authority in Taiwan a policy direction by taking into consideration the importance of online reading ability and schools’ current functions, which can further raise the competitiveness of our next generation.
