即創力、即興力、模仿、製造競爭優勢
Bricolage, Improvisation, Imitation, Competitive Advantages of Manufacturing.
本研究主要探討:「同時執行一適當的資源限制回應與模仿領先者之產品是否為代工廠商建構製造競爭優勢之解決方案」。在因應緊縮資源與環境不確定的前提下,「資源限制之回應」與「模仿」同為廠商帶來機會辨識的契機,本研究以2種廠商模仿領先者產品之型態:純模仿、創造性模仿做為檢測2種廠商因應資源限制之方式:即創力、即興力對製造競爭優勢建構影響之干擾變數。本研究採用158家台灣螺絲廠商作為研究對象,並藉由迴歸分析檢測:不同的資源限制回應方式與不同的模仿領先者產品型態之組合是否對廠商的製造競爭優勢建構帶來不同的影響。研究結果發現:1、即創力與即興力分別有利於代工廠商之製造競爭優勢建構帶來正向影響;2、純模仿正向調節代工廠商的即興力與製造競爭優勢建構之關係;3、創造性模仿負向調節代工廠商的即創力與製造競爭優勢建構之關係。
This study explores whether and how the simultaneous adoption of implementing an appropriate response to resource constraints and imitating pioneers’ product is a feasible solution for Taiwanese contract manufacturers (CMs) to manage a series of problems in the building of manufacturing CAs: tighter resources and environmental uncertainties. Considering the role that the responses to resource constraints and imitation play in providing CMs with opportunities recognition, this study investigates two patterns of imitation—pure and creative imitation— as moderators with different subsequent manufacturing CAs for the responses to resource constraints. This study tests its hypotheses using a sample of subcontracting experience from among 158 fastener CMs listed in Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute. First, the results can respond to the insight on the building of the manufacturing CAs that bricolage and improvisation are good for a CM’s responses to resource constraints. Second, this result confirms that only pure imitation can amplify a CM’s benefits of improvisation for their building of the manufacturing CAs. Third, for the building of the manufacturing CAs, creative imitation is not an appropriate solution to amplify a CM’s benefits of bricolage. However, bricolage and creative imitation only act as triggers for the building of the manufacturing CAs while they can be implemented independently.
