由於快速的工業化與都市發展,經濟成長是以土地重新規劃與資源利用作為基礎,對於自然環境造成相當大的衝擊,台灣民眾對於環境議題的警覺性已日趨提高,亦意識到環境問題所造成的生活環境品質惡化問題。本研究以坪林與蘇澳兩個鄉村社區之居民為研究對象,來探究社區依附與利環境行為之關連性。資料蒐集採用面對面問卷調查對隨機抽樣所選出的樣本進行訪談,共成功回收510份訪談問卷。潛藏因素分析模型(LatentClassFactorModel)的分析結果指出,從利環境行為的參與狀況可將受訪者可分為「不關切者」、「靜態參與者」、「行動參與者」、與「全面參與者」四種類型,而社區依附程度高者其利環境行為的參與程度也越高。此外,年齡與教育程度也和利環境行為有顯著相關。

Many studies have identified the socio-demographic characteristics associated with environmental issues. The significance of socio-psychological factors has also been addressed. Less attention has been given to behavioral manifestations of the relationship between community attachment and environmental concern. This study uses survey data collected from two rural communities in Taiwan to examine the relationship between community attachment and pro-environmental behaviors. Latent class modeling revealed the pro-environmental behaviors of four types of rural residents: “unconcerned participants”, “quiet participants”, “action-taking participants”, and “fully concerned participants.” A generally positive association was found between community attachment and pro-environmental behaviors. Age and education were also significantly related to pro-environmental behaviors, while this proved less the case for residents in an eco-community. These findings are discussed, and a conclusion is also provided.
