勞退新制實施迄今已達七年,這是一個非常重大的勞動制度變革,尤其是退休金制度由同一雇主給付制改成個人可攜帶帳戶制,就全球而言,可算是先驅之一,然而有關勞退新制的學術研究卻仍相當有限,尤其是採取社會學取徑的研究更是寥寥可數。然而勞退新制所引發的社會影響其實是相當廣泛而深遠的,尤其是引發影響的社會過程及其對企業與勞工所造成的影響,更是值得我們用組織社會學的取徑來加以探討。
新制實施迄今,台灣社會經歷了相當多的內外在變化,在過程中勞退新制變得更制度化,所產生的影響層面變深且廣。基於關切勞退新制對勞資雙方的影響、新制發揮影響力所依循的社會過程,以及制度、企業、勞工之間的互動情況,本案擬採取多種的研究設計來蒐集相關資料,並利用多元研究方法進行分析,藉此探討勞退制度大變革在學術上與政策上的重要意涵。
本研究的主要目的有二:一、探討結構同形性運作、企業與制度互動,以及勞方與資方互動等讓勞退新制發揮影響力的社會過程及其影響。二、透過不同於既存文獻的資料與實證方法來研究勞退新制的影響。

It has been seven years since the new pension system came into existence in 2005. The new pension system signifies a radical change in labor institution of Taiwan. In particular, the adoption of the individual retirement account system is a pioneering action around the world. In spite of its uniqueness, research on the new pension system has been relatively limited. Especially, research with a sociological approach has been so scarce. Yet, the social influences triggered by the new system are so widespread and the social processes operating behind the execution of the system are important. Therefore, it is very worthwhile to study the system from a perspective of organizational sociology.
From its execution till now, our society has undergone many changes, whereas in the process of change, the new system has been institutionalized and its impacts go deeper and wider. Due to the concerns about the impacts of the new system upon labor and management, the institutionalization process of the new system, and the interaction between institution, business, and labor, I adopted multiple research designs to collect informative data, and to analyze these data by using multiple research methods. By means of these, I also explored the academic and policy implication of this social institutional innovation.
There are two main purposes of this research: First, it is to study the social processes such as structural isomorphism, interaction between institution and business, and interaction between business and labor, and the impacts of the social processes. Second, it is to study the impacts of the new pension system by using different data and empirical methods from the existent literatures.
