 已有許多實徵研究結果發現,親子衝突與青少年身心適應問題有密切關聯,但國內、外相關研究,較少針對兩者之間的運作歷程、機制與作用效果的方向,提出完 整的理論架構並進行實徵驗證。本計畫旨在探究親子衝突對青少年心理適應的影響機制與方向,其中是以個體認知情緒評估所激發的威脅感、自責感、暴怒感與怨恨 感作為中介變項,合理聯結青少年主觀的衝突知覺如何影響不同的內、外化問題行為發生,並假設上述四項負向情緒的主要效果依序顯現在身心症狀抱怨、社會退縮 行為、暴力攻擊與偏差行為等四種內、外化問題行為上,同時考慮華人家庭文化脈絡下,探討衝突類型、孝道信念與父、母親角色在上述中介歷程中可能的調節效 果,並以追蹤研究設計方式分段進行驗證。 鑒於目前對於親子衝突作用歷程與影響效果之研究尚在起步階段,國內、外文獻中鮮見與負向情緒激發相關之實證研究,且各研究變項間的相互作用較為複雜, 因此本研究擬分三階段進行:第一階段先初步奠定中介模型,並彙整初步分析與文獻回顧結果,作為瞭解調節機制的可能基礎;第二階段則驗證調節變項發生作用的 歷程與效果,作為對初步中介模型之補充與細部修正;第三階段則透過追蹤研究確認作用方向是否符合預期。藉由對親子衝突的作用歷程與效果較為全面、系統的掌 握,本研究不僅可為後續研究奠定良好的理論架構,更可為輔導實務工作者提供學理參考。

Empirical research has shown that parent-child conflict is positively related to poor adjustment in adolescents. However, the underlying processes have been little examined. The purpose of this study is to probe the possible mediators as a basic framework for clarifying how parent-child conflict impacts on adolescent psychological maladjustment within the theoretical context of cognitive-emotional appraisal. Perceive threat, self-blame, rage, and resentment are chosen as four possible mediators through different negative arousals from parent-child conflict. To specify theses pathways of the mediation process in great detail, this study also distinguishes internalizing problems from externalizing problems and examines whether the mediating effects are stronger for perceived threat, self-blame, rage, and resentment on psychosomatic complain, withdrawal behavior, violent aggression, and deviant behavior respectively. Considering the context of Chinese family, this study will also identify the concrete moderating effects of type of conflict, adolescents’ filial belief, and the divergence between paternal and maternal role on specific mediating pathways. In addition, a prospective longitudinal study is designed to investigate the direction of effects with a panel data collected at three time period separated by 1 year. Regarding the studied phenomenon involving mutual interaction among numerous variables, this study will be conducted in three stages for constructing the model for the processes of parent-child conflict step by step. The first stage of this study concentrates on identifying the hypothesized four-path mediating model. Then the moderating mechanism of various variables will be incorporated into the original model for advancing its fidelity and comprehensiveness. At last, the plausible reverse direction of effect will be examined with the panel data analysis for verifying the validation of the present model. By integrating the mediating and moderating mechanism between parent-child conflict and adolescent maladjustment systematically, this study might establish a theoretical foundation for future study. Furthermore, the results of this study will be used to provide suggestions for solving relevant practical problems. The work of this year is focusing on the first stage of this longitudinal study on identifying the hypothesized four-path mediating model.
