本研究旨在探討「都市傳統商店街空間轉變與社區空間結構之關係」,並以台南市安平區三條歷史悠久且重要的傳統商店街-延平街、古堡街、安平路及其所座落的安平舊社區為個案 研究的地區。本研究所採用的研究方法主要包括文獻理論回顧、個案調查(包括蒐集資料、深入訪談、參與觀察)、歸納分析及解釋等三種方法。由於研究主題及理論內容之需要,本計畫在研究方法上比較適合以質化方法來展現調查資料及文章的論述。

預期工作項目及成果,將包括以下幾項:(1)相關文獻理論回顧及觀念架構之建立(包括國內外都市商業空間與零售地理之理論與研究情形、國外與安平區商 店街的研究情形、社會空間化與新零售地理觀念以及都市傳統商店街與社區空間結構之間關連的研究情形);(2)個案研究地區之相關文獻理論之資料蒐集、深入 訪談及參與觀察;(3)探討安平區三條重要的傳統商店街之文化與空間轉型,以及在社會空間化與新零售文化地理此二重要觀念上的具體表現;(4)探討目前安 平區三條重要的傳統商店街之零售活動與零售空間發展,對於整個安平舊社區空間結構之改變所產生的影響及結果;以及(5)針對「都市傳統商店街空間轉 型與社區空間結構之關連」提出結論;最後則提出研究結論與未來陸續研究方向。

This study is to explore the relationships between urban traditional shopping street\'s spatial changes and community spatial structure. We will take on empirical study on Yenping Street(延平街), Fort Street (古堡街)and Anping Road(安平路) of Anping District in Tainan city. Three major research methods are applied, including related theories and literatures review, case study and survey(data collecting, in-depth interview, participant observation) and analysis and interpretation.

The main contents and outcomes of this study will be as follows:

(1) review of related theories and literatures(including urban commercial spaces and retail geography, shopping street, social spatialization and new retail cultural geography, relation between urban traditional shopping street and community spatial structure, etc) and construction of conceptual framework;

(2) data collecting of related literatures and theories, in-depth interview and participant observation in study area;

(3) analysis and interpretation of cultural and spatial changes in Anping\'s three traditional shopping streets through social spatialization and new retail cultural geography concepts;

(4) analysis and interpretation of effects and outcomes of retail activities and spatial developments in Anping\'s three traditional shopping streets upon Anping old community spatial structure.

(5) to draw conclusions about relationships between urban traditional shopping street\'s spatial changes and community spaces. (6) to draw some main conclusions of this study.
