 雖然台灣的教育政策的制定一直有很強的經建取向,但是過去政策與學術的關切點分別著重於「教育」與「勞力市場」個別的場域,對於「從學校到職場的銜接」 的議題,卻很少探究。隨著產業競爭白熱化和高等教育持續擴張,過去隱而不顯的「教育和勞力市場的連結」議題逐漸受到關注。本研究企圖探討高等教育與勞力市 場間的組織連結關係和中介機制,研究的取向主要是從教育組織切入,蒐集並分析高等教育與勞動市場的連結情形。本研究的主題,一方面關心教育分流、科系劃分 對勞力市場位置取得的影響,來探討技職和一般體系區隔的持續效果和社會意義。一方面,是從高等教育機構角度出發,分析各院校的就業輔導單位的中介機制在連 接教育與勞力市場的效果。本研究計畫企圖掌握教育與勞力市場的制度性連結的機制,對於高等教育者求職過程的影響。雖然教育分流的議題受到相當多的關注,但 是,對此議題的研究並不多見。我們將解析教育分流的特性在勞力市場的展現與實踐結果,瞭解學校與勞力市場制度性連結的特性,以及它對於學生職業生涯的影 響。本研究也探討台灣高等教育擴張的過程,學校與勞力市場的連結是有助於兩性的機會結構平等,或更加速性別階層化的現象。

Although Taiwan’s educational policy-making has always taken a strong economic development approach, past policies and academic concerns mainly focus on education and the labor market, respectively. The issue of school-to-work transition has often been ignored. With the competitive industry and the expansion of higher education, the past-unnoticed issue has come to the fore. This research project attempts to tackle with the issue through the organization of education, by collecting and analyzing the data regarding the linkage between higher education and the labor market. On the one hand, we will focus on the effects of academic tracks and departments/specializations of graduates on the acquisition of job positions, and to understand the continuing effects of technical/general tracks on one’s career. On the other hand, we will analyze the functions of educational organizations, such as the placement offices, in linking their graduates to the labor markets. While the debate on the reform of Taiwan’s tracking system continues to be a central issue, the performances of graduates from different tracks in the labor markets have not been seriously studied. This study aims to explore results of the characteristics of tracking systems in the labor market, to identify the mechanisms in the linkage between higher education and the labor market, and their effects on the job-search process. This study also attempts to deal with the issue of the effects of school-to-work transition to the relationship between higher education expansion and gender stratification.
