本研究的目的是要探討傳統證券商在電子商務環境下的轉型策略,首先是整理國內外和電子商務及證券商有關的文獻,以作為本研究計畫發展理論架構之基礎。接著針 對實施網路下單業務的證券商轉型因素與轉型策略進行調查,經由因素分析、集群分析、變異數分析、迴歸分析等方法,找出電子券商的轉型因素與轉型策略之間的 相關性,比較不同類型的轉型因素及轉型策略對網路證券商經營績效的影響程度。以下為本研究的主要發現: 1.促使傳統證券商開辦網路下單業務的主要因素為經營者的價值觀。 2.傳統證券商在實施網路下單業務時最重視的策略為技術策略。 3.不同轉型因素類型的證券商對轉型策略有顯著差異。 4.不同轉型策略類型的證券商對經營績效無顯著差異。 5.產品加值策略、組織變革管理策略、多角化經營策略對經營績效有顯著影響。 6.開辦網路下單業務的實施轉型時間對經營績效有顯著影響。

The purpose of this project is to explore the transformation strategies of securities brokers under the electronic commerce (EC) environment. First, literature related to EC and securities brokers has been reviewed and used as the basis of developing theoretical framework of this project. Second, this project conducts a survey, from the views of the transformation factors and transformation strategy both , on the domestic securities brokers about the current status and future directions of their business in on-line brokerage. Statistical methods including factor analysis , cluster analysis, ANOVA, and regression analysis are applied to find the transformation factors and transformation strategies for the on-line brokerage and to compare the differences among the different types of on-line brokerage. This study reveals that: 1.The value of the top management is the main factor that prompts traditional brokerage firms to initiate on-line trading business. 2.Technology strategies are the most important consideration for traditional brokerage firms when they implement on-line trading. 3.There is a significant difference between transformation strategies implemented by brokerage firms with different factors of transformation. 4.There is no significant difference between business performances of brokerage firms with different transformation strategies. 5.The added value of product, organizational change management, and diversification strategies have significant impacts on business performance. 6.The implementation time of on-line trading has a significant impact on business performance.
