為 讓教育多元化之後能進一步達到卓越化,藉由嚴密的實習制度來提升教師人力品質,是整個師資養成教育的核心。但實習教師輔導制度卻是目前中等學校師資培育過 程中最弱的一環。實習指導教師在教學、研究及服務三重的工作現實下,無法對學生提供有效的支援系統。在「教育的品質是教師素質的反映」下,實習指導教師輔 導知能的充實,進一步至專業發展的規劃均有其必要及迫切性。 本研究以全國四十一所中等教育學程之實習指導教師為對象,建構實習指導教師工作現實之資料檔案,包括實習指導教師本身覺知的專業定位及工作現況,並根據研 究結果提出建議。

The research to date in the university supervisor\'s supervisory competency is sparse and outdated even though they played the crucial role in assisting the student teachers to develop sufficient procession for becoming an effective beginning teachers. The main purpose of this study is to describe the work reality of the university supervisors and explore their perceptions as regards the professional self-esteem and the value they believe is placed on their work by professional colleagues in academic disciplines. The results showed that the university supervisors responded positively to belief statements regarding their commitment to scholarship and their ability to meet the scholarship norms expected of those who work in an academic institution. However, these university supervisors did not believe their academic peers (outside professional education) shared these beliefs. Generally, they believed their peers downgraded their scholarly abilities. For the work reality, the study turned up evidence that the university supervisor dissatisfied the lack of time in scholarly productivity; the quality of field study, and tenure system based on research and publication activities. Upon these findings,several suggestions for field programs were proposed.
