本研究旨在分析與探討國內大學校院的「學生評鑑教師教學」制度。研究對象包含36所公立學校及40所私立學校。研究方法以文件分析及問卷調查為主。分析的內容主要包含各校實施「學生評鑑教師教學」的背景、實施程序、評鑑工具、資料處理及結果應用。本研究重要的發現如下: 一、實施政策:有62(81.6%)所學校實施全校性評鑑,其他14(18.4%)所學校由各系或教師自行決定。 二、實施目的:有66(86.8%)所學校個別通知教師以改進教學;有26(34.2%)所學校做為獎勵優良教師的參考;有23(30.3%)所做為教師續聘的參考;有47(61.8%)所學校做為教師升等的參考;另外也有7(9.2%)所學校做為學生選課的參考。 三、實施程序:有62(81.6%)所學校在教室內實施;有6(7.9%)所學校不限地點;另外有8(10.5%)所學校在網路上實施。 四、工具方面:有60(78.9%)所學校全校使用同一種評鑑工具。另外只有5(6.6%)所學校工具編製小組有學生代表。 五、結果應用:除了提供教師教學(86.8%)和教師升等決策(61.8%)參考外,另有4(5.3%)所學校提供學生知道某科教師評鑑的結果,而也有3(3.9%)所學校將評鑑結果公佈在學校刊物上。 根據研究結果,本研究針對各大學校院的評鑑制度及未來研究方向提出建議。

The purpose of this study was to compare the systems for student ratings of instruction among colleges in Taiwan. The sample included 36 public schools and 40 private schools. Two research methods were involved . Method one was an analysis of school documents regarding to student ratings. Method two was a survey of the official who took charge of the system for student ratings at each school . Some important findings are as follows: 1. Sixty-two colleges have required their faculty to implement student ratings in their courses, and the rest of the schools offer student ratings as an option to their faculty. 2. The purposes of student ratings vary from school to school . Sixty-six schools have it for teaching improvement, 26 schools for teaching effectiveness rewards, 23 schools for teacher job contract, 47 schools for teacher academic promotion, 7 schools for student selecting courses. 3. Eight schools have the evaluation process on the net, 6 schools outside the classroom, and the rest of schools hold the evaluation process in the classroom. 4. Sixty schools use a school-wide instrument. Five schools have invited student representatives to participate the instrument- development process. 5. Four schools make the results of student ratings available to their students. Three schools have published the results of student ratings on school journals.
