臺 灣地區企業組織之績效評估常為人所詬病,這長久之問題,一直缺乏研究。本研究提出假設認為臺灣地區企業員工績效評估實施,應著重教育發展之應用而減少人事 行政之目的,以求減輕問題並發揮績效評估發展之功能。研究結果相當支持假設,臺灣地區績優公司的確較有發展性績效評估;另也顯示一些文化因素對績效評估之 影響。

The problems in performance appraisal of business organizations in Taiwan have been complained about for a long time. The long-term problems have been lacking in research. This research supposes thatthe performance appraisal in business organizations in Taiwan shouldbe mainly for employees\' development and less for personnel administration. By this way, the performance rating problem should be reduced and the developmental function of performance appraisal can be enhanced. The research results considerably support the hypotheses. Those better performed companies in Taiwan did more performance appraisal for development. In addition, it was found that cultural factors had some influence on performance appraisal.
