本次調查發出問卷四百八十六份,共計回收一百四十四份有效問卷。 本研究旨在探討接受生死學課程之護理學系畢業學生面對臨終病人的照護行為與其死亡處理能力間的關係。另外72位和其在相同醫療院所工作的護理人員為對照組。Bugen死亡處理量表及自編的臨終照護量表為研究工具。 研究結果顯示樣本在醫院中服務的科室及對死亡的處理能力二者與臨終照護行為呈顯著相關,接受生死學教學的護理人員有較積極的臨終照護行為,故生死學教學的效果能夠適度的增加護理學生畢業後在工作上面對臨終病人時的自我準備及處理能力,有必要推廣生死學教育到護理教育。

This research explores the relationships between death competence and positive behavior on terminally ill patients on nursing students. After attending the course of life and death education 72 nursing students have cared terminally ill patients within six month since graduated from college. The other 72 nurses working in the same hospital and unit are the control group. Data collection tools include the coping with death scale designed by Bugen and dying patients\' caring scale designed by author. Death education has significantly improve students\' death competence but not positively terminally ill behavior, therefore nursing students should attend professional nursing programs.
