學生的自我概念與其學業成就動機、學業成就表現、行為態度、人格發展等皆具有密切的關係。自我概念的發展,深受「重要他人」的影響;國小教師是學童心目中的 「重要他人」,教師批評對學童具有重大的意義。然而,國小教師批評與學生自我概念的關係,在研究上仍未得到應有的重視。基於上述認識,本研究計畫乃就我國 國小教師批評與學生自我概念的關係進行探討。本研究的目的如下: 一、探討國小教師批評與學生行為表現的互動情形。 二、瞭解不同行為表現之學生對國小教師批評品質的知覺情形。 三、探討國小教師批評對學生自我概念的影響方式。 四、分析國小教師批評與學生自我概念的關係。 五、根據研究結果,針對國小教師批評的改進,提供建議。 本研究以參與觀察、學校訪視晤談與焦點團體座談等方式,蒐集質的資料;並以問卷調查方式蒐集量的資料。本研究發現:國小教師對學生的批評會因學生的行為表 現而異。不同行為表現的學生所知覺到的教師批評品質具有顯著差異。學生的自我概念與教師批評品質具有顯著的相關,受到負向教師批評的影響也較大。

A review of the literature indicates that children\'s self-concept is closely related to their classroom behavior, personality development, academic motivation and achievement. Moreover, children\'s self-concept is strongly influenced by their \"significant others\". Since teachers serve as \"significant others\" to their students, teacher criticism carries much weight in children\'s mind. However, it remains unclear to what extent and in what ways teacher criticism may affect children\'s self- concept in elementary schools. To facilitate our understanding in this regard, this study is intended to explore the relationship of teacher criticism to children\'s self-concept in elementary schools. Both qualitative and quantitative methods are employed to collect various types of data for analysis. The findings of the study indicate that teacher criticism toward children varies in accordance with children\'s behavior and achievement. Children with varied behavior and achievement tend to differ significantly in their perceptions of the quality of teacher criticism. Children\'s self-concept appears to be significantly related to the quality of teacher criticism.
