本研究根據八十六學年度國中實習教師公費生928人和自費生296人,其有關實習成效的有效問卷, 以及國中教評會成員799人的初聘模式有效問卷,一方面比較新、舊制教育實習成效,另一方面考察教評會參與教師初聘的甄選與審查之實況,並徵詢有關改進建 議。根據研究的主要結論,本研究提出主要建議十六項,包括發展四種教師初聘模式,以適用於國中不同的情況。

The principal results in this research are based upon the data which was secured from questionnaire surveys. Effective questionnaires of 928 scholarship interns, 296 non-scholarship interns, and 799 members of The Teachers Review Committees at junior high schools during 1997-98 academic year. A comparative study was conducted for the relative effectiveness of internship between scholarship and non-scholarship interns. At the same time, an investigation was done to obtain the information about the present operations of Teachers Review Committees in selecting and screening beginning teachers, and related suggestions for making constructive changes. Sixteen recommendations are made in this study, which are based upon some main conclusions. Among them, 4 different models for hiring beginning teachers are presented here, in order to cope with different situations of various junior high schools.
