「『台灣教育長期追蹤資料庫』後續調查:教育與勞力市場的連結」(Taiwan Education Panel Survey and Beyond,簡稱TEPS-B)是「台灣教育長期追蹤資料庫」(Taiwan Education Panel Survey,簡稱TEPS)的後續追蹤調查。TEPS-B是由國立政治大學、國立台灣大學及中央研究院等三學術機構研究人員共同組成之研究團隊,自2009年起繼續追蹤TEPS當年接受調查的學生樣本。TEPS及TEPS-B為針對特定年輕世代蒐集教育與勞力市場相關的資料庫,研究設計是在一定主軸範圍內廣泛包含不同的議題。TEPS-B的主軸關懷為高等教育擴張對此世代之年輕人就學及就業的影響,其中包括教育、經濟、社會地位及性別等各方面之議題。
TEPS於2001年以台灣地區90學年度就讀高中/高職/五專二年級學生為抽樣母群。TEPS-B自中央研究院調查研究專題中心取得TEPS此波高中/高職/五專二年級學生樣本名單共19,051案(簡稱為Panel-1 SH),並於2009年進行電話訪問,完訪樣本數為10,546案。2010年則由同一樣本中抽樣後,以面訪方式追蹤調查。面訪調查抽樣先以系統抽樣TEPS百分之六十的學校數,然後以一階段PPS的抽樣方法,抽出分散在一百二十個由本計畫建立之抽樣區域的6,838案進行面對面訪問。實際完訪樣本數為3,977案,問卷內容包括基本狀況、教育經歷、社會網絡、工作經歷、謀職與介紹人、身心健康與家庭/婚姻/性別角色等題項。

“Taiwan Education Panel Survey and Beyond (TEPS-B)” is the follow-up project of “Taiwan Education Panel Survey (TEPS).” TEPS surveyed about twenty thousand senior high, vocational senior high, and vocational junior college students (named by TEPS-B as Panel-1 SH) as well as about the same number of junior high students in 2001. A follow-up study was conducted in 2003. In 2005 and 2007, TEPS sampled about 4,000 students from the aforementioned junior high student sample to constitute a Core Panel (Panel-1/2 CP) and continued its follow-up studies to gather information about schooling experiences at senior high schools or vocational junior colleges. At the same time, TEPS also surveyed about 16,000 senior high students (Panel-2 NP) who were classmates of the Core Panel.TEPS-B was initiated in 2009 with the aim of continuing follow-ups of these youngsters to collect information about their further development in either education or the labor market. TEPS-B conducted a follow-up telephone survey of Panel-1 SH (N = 19,051) in 2009 to update information about their educational attainment and job conditions. The follow-up telephone survey successfully interviewed 10,546 cases. In 2010, TEPS-B sampled 6,838 cases from the Panel-1 SH for a follow-up face-to-face interview survey. The follow-up successfully surveyed 3,977 cases. The interview schedule inquired about respondent’s education, job, and residential history since 2003. The interview also collected information on respondents’ social network, job search experiences, physical and mental health, and attitudes towards family and marriage.
